A search
mashup designed to assist schools who intend to utilise the Victorian Department
of Education's EduList to the full.
Search queries are performed simultaneously on the world's most popular search engines
including Google, Bing and the Victorian Department of Education's 'Connect'.
The results are combined and filtered with the EduList, resulting in better EduList
search results.
A alternative to the Victorian Department of Education EduList's Suggest a Site, EduList Suggest is designed to
assist schools who intend to utilise the EduList to the full.
The user is informed if the site already exists in the EduList, and if not, utilises
description data from Google to pre-fill the submission form.
Feedback is also provided to users when their site is added, or if a timeout period
has expired.
Integration into your network to retrieve user contact details can make submitting
a website as simple as two clicks.
ISA 2004/2006 can also be integrated, allowing staff to provide instant access to
the submitted websites. These 'overrides' will then expire within a timeout period
(the website will then be allowed if added to the EduList in that time)
